Standard Features-Acrylic Bases

Design is a strong element of all MTI products, including shower bases. Uncomplicated styling allows them to integrate beautifully with surround materials such as granite, marble and tile, while their functional design prevents water transfer and slipping. Each shower base includes a textured bottom that meets ASTM F-462-1994 certification requirements for safer showering. MTI offers several seated shower bases available with either right or left-hand drain configurations; several bases available with low-profile, narrow threshold and multiple threshold options. The unique 48" square Jeu d'Eau features a comfortable seat and higher walls which may be specified with jets to create a swirling footbath. The beauty of MTI shower bases goes beyond the surface. The beautiful, high-gloss acrylic is strengthened by a multi-layered backing of fiberglass / titanium resin that encloses wood reinforcement. This construction makes MTI shower bases at least 30% thicker and stronger than other makes, which prevents flexing of the floor pan. To make installation easy, the shower bases are pre-leveled and include factory-installed tile flanges to facilitate integration with surround materials.

Available in a wide variety of colors, all MTI shower bases are constructed of durable, cross-linked cast acrylic for beauty and durability. The high-gloss finish is extremely scratch - and stain - resistant, yet it is easily renewable because the color goes all the way through the material. Since the surface is non-porous, cleaning and sanitizing are faster and more effective. MTI shower bases are certified by the National Association of Home Builders' Research Center.
